Server logs are the internal event logs of the site’s server, which automatically record page requests sent when a user accesses the site. The system logs include the page request sent by the User, IP address, browser type, browser language, request date and time and at least one “cookie” that can uniquely identify the User’s browser. We use the data collected in the system logs for an indefinite time solely to manage the website. Data is not transferred to third parties, except in the circumstances described herein. In connection with the use of the site by Users, we may automatically collect and save technical details in server logs relating to the usage of the services, IP address and technical data on the operation of the site with respect to activities performed by the User. We may also collect information to store locally on your device through the use of browser memory mechanisms.
In providing services to the User, we may automatically use the cache memory of the User’s browser, application or device. The use consists in storing data in the memory of the browser installed in the User’s device. Within the local memory, it is possible to store data inter-sessionally, i.e., between successive User sessions. The purpose of using the cache memory is to speed up the use of the website by preventing the same data from being repeatedly downloaded from the website, thereby overloading the User’s Internet connection.
Using the geolocation function of cookies, we or third parties may collect and process information regarding your whereabouts. To this end, we may process such data as the IP number, the GPS sensor, the Wi-Fi point or mobile network base stations.
During the provision of services to Users, we use professional technologies to collect and save information, such as cookies. These are commonly used small files containing a string of characters sent to and stored on the User’s end device (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone) during the visit to the website. The information is sent to the browser’s clipboard, which sends it back on subsequent visits to the website. Cookies contain information necessary for the proper use of the website. They usually contain the name of the source website, the storage duration on the end device and a unique number. Cookie data may also be accessed by the external entities listed in sec. 15 of the Privacy and Cookies Policy.
Users utilising the services provided electronically via the website are asked to voluntarily consent to the processing of cookies by storing information or gaining access to information already stored on their telecommunications end devices. The cookies processing consent is given in particular by using the cookies processing declaration consent button or confirming that you have read its terms and conditions. Such consent may be withdrawn at any time, free of charge and as described in the section on cookie management.
We process cookies according to Article 173 of the Telecommunications Act of 16 July 2004 (Journal of Laws 2016, No. 0, item 1489, as amended).
We can categorise cookies according to three methods of division.
Depending on the purpose of the use of cookies, we distinguish between three categories:
essential files – they enable proper functioning of the website and functionalities that the User wishes to use, e.g., authentication cookies. It is impossible to use the website without saving them on the User’s device,
– functional files – files that make it possible to remember the User’s settings and adjust them to the User’s needs and preferences, e.g., in terms of the selected language, font size, and appearance of the website. They allow the Service Provider to improve the functionality and performance of the website. Unless they are stored on the User’s device, the use of certain website functionalities may be limited,
– business cookies – this category includes, for example, advertising cookies. They permit the advert displayed on or off the website to be tailored to the User’s preferences. Unless they are stored on the User’s device, the use of certain website functionalities may be limited.
In terms of the duration of their validity, we distinguish between two categories of cookies:
– session files – existing until the end of a given User session,
– persistent files – existing after the end of the session by the User.
In terms of differentiating the entity that manages cookies, we distinguish between:
– the Service Provider’s cookies,
– third party cookies.
The Service Provider’s cookies permit the recognition of the User’s device and display of the website adapted to the User’s individual expectations, thus making the use of its functionalities easier and more pleasant. By storing these files on the User’s device, it is possible, for example, to remember login data, maintain a session after logging in, remember selected goods or services, or adapt them to the User’s preferences, such as the layout of the content, language or its colour.
Third-party cookies such as:
Google Adwords – they allow you to conduct and evaluate the quality of advertising campaigns carried out using the Google Adwords service,
Google Analytics – they allow you to evaluate the quality of advertising campaigns carried out using the Google Adwords service, as well as to study User behaviour and traffic and to compile traffic statistics,
Google Maps – they allow for the storage of information about the User, which permits the use of the Google Maps service features. Google Inc. may track the User’s location.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the website www.standbysurf.com.

The data controller uses technical and organisational measures to ensure that processed personal data is protected appropriately to the threats and data category.
